Semarang, io.undip.ac.id-This year, Kangwon National University Korea invites all student of Universitas Diponegoro to learn Korean:

1. Introduction: Since 1947, Kangwon National University has gained a lot of teaching experience and has become one of the ten major national universities in Korea. Base on rich teaching experience, KNU provides international students with high quality and well-respected higher educations. We have a diverse range of Korean language courses available for all levels and focus on practical conversation in order to improve the students’ overall Korean skills. We enable students from all over the world to experience the Korean culture and thoroughly learn the Korean language.

 

2. Korean Language program: The Korean language program is for foreigners and overseas Koreans, with an average of 12 to 15 students per class. One semester is a 10-week course, 4 hours per day(200 hours per semester), Monday to Friday, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Each course includes a welcoming ceremony, exams, cultural excursions and a closing ceremony at the end of the semester. Students who have successfully completed a course will be provided with a completion certificate. Please refer to the attached file for more information.

3. Cultural Experience Program: Cultural experience activities are included once a semester. Field trips to historical heritages and experiencing Korean traditional or music makes it easier to understand Korean culture. We have arranged the following activities so far:

1) Making Korean traditional dishes

2) Learning Korean traditional instruments

3) Creating Korean traditional stamps and Learning calligraphy writing

4) Practicing Korean traditional tea ceremony

5) Watching Korean play

6) Learning K-Pop choreographies

7) Visiting theme parks

 

4. Dormitory: the largest dormitory capacities in Korea, providing on-campus dormitories to students.(Twin room)

 

5. Scholarship:

1) Best Performance Award, Attendance Excellence Award

2) Scholarships for KNU students (up to 50% tuition waiver)

3) Scholarships for students entering KNU after completing 2 semesters

Semarang, io.undip.ac.id-The Yonsei International Summer School (YISS) opened its doors in 1985 and since then, YISS has become an integral part of campus life based on a unique blend of Korean and global cultures. YISS continues to grow and evolve, accommodating the needs of a rapidly changing student body and meeting the challenges of a fast-paced global society.

To students who have been accepted into the chosen department in Kangwon National University will receive the admission letter package. The following are the procedure information for students who have received the admission letter package:

 

  1. Visa Application

After you have received the EMS package, with the documents, you need to visit the nearest Korean Embassy to apply for Korean Visa.

 

  1. Pre-departure Guide

The pre-departure guide file soon will be sent for references and preparation for departure. Most of the answers to your inquiries are in the file. Please read all the information thoroughly before making inquiries to the OIA or your buddy.

 

  1. Course List

The list for the up coming semester will be updated in the first week of February. You can check the course list update on:

You will be matched with a buddy who will help you with course registration as well as whatever you are in need while you are in KNU.

The Office of International Affairs processes the dormitory application on behalf of a new student only in the first semester. You may pay boarding expenses in early March after check-in.

  1. Entry into South Korea on COVID-19 situation

You should arrive in South Korea in early or mid-February due to the 10-day isolation (self-quarantine). Please be aware that you will bear the expense for a 10-day isolation (self-quarantine) and it would be approximately $850(₩1,000,000). You can move into the dormitory after the 10-day self-quarantine.

 

The additional information regarding Pre-departure Guide, Buddy Information, Student ID Number, Academic Schedule, and the 10-Day Isolation (Self-Quarantine) will be informed soon.

Diponegoro Exchange Experience Programme (DEEP) 2022 Call for Application


Semarang, io.undip.ac.id; Universitas Diponegoro always aim to further expand international exposure. One of them are trough creating a programme where it is dedicated to undergraduate students to experience academic life as well as multicultural exposure at Universitas Diponegoro and Indonesia in general. This year, DEEP opens the application for Exchange Experience Programme 2022.

Diponegoro Exchange Experience Programme or shortly called DEEP is the most integrated student mobility scheme at Universitas Diponegoro (Undip). This programme is designed to accommodate international students from both partner and non-partner Higher Education Institutions /Universities around the globe to experience 1 (one) semester at Undip. The students from partner universities are able to get credits that are transferrable in their home universities. By this scheme, students are categorized as Credit Transfer System (CTS) students. Meanwhile, students from non-partner universities will only earn credits and the credits cannot be transferred to their home universities; so-called Credit Earned System (CES).

 

 

Eligibilty

 

We encourage undergraduate students to participate in this programme with following qualifications:

  • Must be an active/registered undergraduate students
  • Minimum enrolling in 2nd year
  • Having PBT TEOFL 450/IBT TOEFL 48/ CBT TOEFL 140 or IELTS 5.5
  • minimum CGPA 3.00 / 4.00 (scale), or equivalent*

 

Duration

DEEP is conducted for 1 (one) academic term (semester)

 

Deadline

The deadline for the online submission of application materials for the program is January 15, 2022.

Strengthen research and academic collaboration, Embassy of France visited Undip


Semarang, io.undip.ac.id – Collaboration between Indonesian higher education and partners, whether its campuses or the industrial world, that are foreign, is growing and increasing towards progress. Universitas Diponegoro as one of the universities that active in the global higher education field always increases its capacity by collaborating with various foreign agencies, one of which is the French embassy in Jakarta. The French Embassy, represented by the Science and Technology Cooperation Attache H.E Thierry Goubier had the opportunity to visit Undip to strengthen the longstanding cooperation between the two parties. The visitation was held in Thursday, November 27, 2021 starting from 10.00 WIB. The event was opened with remarks from the Vice Chancellor IV of Universitas Diponegoro, Prof. Ir. Ambariyanto, M.Sc., Ph.D. “The cooperative relationship between Universitas Diponegoro or Undip and the French embassy has actually been established for a long time and continues to be maintained until now. One of the form of cooperation that is still and will continue to be improved is the Indonesia-France Double Degree (DDIP),” said Prof. Ambariyanto. Meanwhile, the representative of the French embassy, ​​H.E. Thierry Goubier, said that the main purpose of introducing the programs owned by the French government was for scholarships. In addition, the renewal of the partnership cooperation document between Undip and the French embassy was also a concern of the visit.

The other agenda of the meeting was also to listen a report from some of the Dean or Head of Departments who are in partnership cooperation with France. The Department of Urban and Regional Planning is one of the most intense in terms of academic collaboration with various institutions, both government and universities in France. Alumni Grant Scheme (AGS) Australia Award Scholarships

Alumni Grant Scheme (AGS) Australia Award Scholarships


Semarang, io.undip.ac.id; Alumni Grant Scheme mobilises alumni to put their experience, knowledge and networks to use to address development challenges in their professional fields or communities. In doing so, alumni promote the quality of Australia’s education, science, research and innovation credentials including through partnering with Australian individuals and institutions. The AGS offers seed funding, on a competitive basis, for initiatives that create impact in alumni’s professional field, organisation and community.

The objectives of the AGS are:

  • to provide alumni with opportunities to enhance and capitalise on their knowledge and skills to improve practice in their professional fields and communities;
  • to develop, maintain and strengthen professional linkages and partnerships between alumni and the Australian government, and Australian businesses, organisations and educational institutions;
  • to connect alumni to each other across disciplines and professions, organisations and institutions, and geographic areas in order to share good practice and create opportunities for collaboration; to develop a network of alumni who view Australia’s capabilities and credentials in a positive light; and,
  • to showcase Australia’s excellence as a global provider of high-quality education and research.

Grant Categories

Up to 25 grants are available under the current AGS round. Alumni can only submit one proposal in each round of application.

Category 1: Project Grant

The Project Grant provides up to AUD $10,000 for alumni to undertake their initiative. Additional funding (up to AUD $5,000) is available for proposals that partner with an Australian organisation or secure funding from alternate sources:

  • while the AGS is about utilising alumni skills and knowledge, we also want alumni to maintain and build their links to Australia. If your project is in partnership with an Australian organisation or institution, you may be eligible for an additional AUD $2,000.
  • the AGS provides financial incentives for securing alternate funding sources to support project delivery. We will provide alumni with an additional 50% of a third-party contribution, to a maximum of AUD $3,000.

All Australian Alumni in Indonesia are eligible to apply for the Project Grant. However, priority will be given to alumni who have not been awarded an AGS.

Category 2: Follow-on Grant

The Follow-on Grant is intended to scale-up or conduct follow-up activities of an AGS project. If alumni were previously awarded an AGS Project Grant and their project requires follow-up activities, they may apply for a Follow-on Grant of up to AUD $10,000.

Applicants will need to clearly demonstrate that their project is achieving the objectives stated in the previous project if they wish to apply for a Follow-on Grant.

AGS Projects

We welcome AGS projects that are innovative and offer alumni the opportunity to put their knowledge and skills to good use. We also have a strong commitment to supporting women, people with a disability and those who work or live in areas affected by disaster, and strongly encourage them to apply. Projects related to COVID-19 recovery effort are strongly encouraged.

 

How to Apply AGS?

The AGS is open to all Indonesian nationals who have graduated from a recognised Australian tertiary institution, including recipients of Australian Government scholarships, Government of Indonesia scholarships, and private fee-paying students.

The AGS is also open to all Indonesian nationals who have completed short-term tertiary courses at registered Australian institutions through Australia Awards Fellowships and Short Courses and the Department of Immigration, Customs and Border Control ELICOS program. Indonesian nationals who have participated in Australian government hosted programs are also eligible to apply.

The 2022 AGS Round 1 are open on 22 November 2022. Please fill out the application and submit it before 23 January 2022, at 23:45 WIB (Western Indonesia Time).

AGS Guidelines and important documents to submit

We encourage alumni to download and read the following documents before applying for the AGS.

You should only submit the required documents listed below in the online application. We will not consider any other documents. You must use the templates provided and complete them according to the instructions, otherwise your application will be deemed ineligible.

Supporting documents for the AGS application:

  • Project budget. You must fill out a project budget.
  • Letter of financial commitment. When applicable, please submit a letter of commitment from all AGS partner organisations including those that are making third-party cash contribution to the proposed project.
  • Letter of support. If you collaborate with third party organisations in Indonesia or Australia in your project, please attach a letter of support from these organisations.
  • Scan of ID Card (KTP/ Passport) of the AGS project team leader.
  • Statement of graduation of the AGS project team leader or other documents to prove his or her eligibility as an Australia alumnus
  • A Curriculum Vitae (CV) of the AGS project team leader. Keep your CV brief, ideally to a maximum of three pages.
  • Endorsement Letter. If the AGS project leader is employed as a staff of Indonesian government institution (PNS) he or she must submit an endorsement letter in PDF format signed by a referee and stamped by the referred organisation. Self-employed applicants are not required to provide an endorsement letter.
