Semarang, io.undip.ac.id – Higher Education for ASEAN Talents(HEAT) is designed to support Ph.D. program for ASEAN faculty members. KNU is selected as one of 6 universities after the competitive evaluation procedure in South Korea. The main purpose of this program is to invite faculty members of ASEAN countries who is currently holding a master’s degree and wish to acquire a doctoral degree in Korea.

The followings are the details of the KNU-HEAT program.
1. Fields of study
· Agricultural & Resource Economics (Ph.D. in Economics)
· International Trade (Ph.D. in International Trade)
2. Scholarships
Scholarship Period: 3 years of Doctoral programs
Benefit:
· Round-trip travel (one time only): Round-trip economy class ticket
· Monthly Allowance: 1,100 USD per month
· Relocation(Settlement) Allowance (one time only): 300 USD upon arrival
· Tuitions: All admission fees are waived by the host institution
· Dissertation Printing Costs: 400~600 USD, depending on the actual coasts
· Language Training Fee and Medical Insurance
3. Application Timeline
· Document Submission Deadline : March 26, 2021
· Notification of eligibility for interview : April 12, 2021
· Interview :April 19 ~ April 23, 2021
· Finalized candidates and notification to KCUE : April 30, 2021
4. Eligibility
· Applicants must 1) hold citizenship in one of the ASEAN countries and 2) currently be a full-time faculty member working at a university in his/her home country.
· Applicants must possess a master’s degree or its equivalent as the highest level of educational attainment.
· Applicants must have discussed their study leave with the university to which they originally belong, as well as about how they plan to contribute to their school after their return.

Semarang, io.undip.ac.id – Universitas Diponegoro proudly presents Archipelagic and Island States (AIS) Innovator Scholarship. Archipelagic and Island States (AIS) Innovator Scholarship is a program that looks for talented individuals from AIS participating countries with marine science backgrounds and is currently taking a master’s degree program. The selected candidates will be able to study for one semester (June – December 2021) and earn credit from the Faculty of Fisheries and Marine Science Universitas Diponegoro, Indonesia as the host university. The scholarship recipients have the chance to explore the possibility of transforming their ideas into a tangible solution with guidance from marine ecosystem members or networks of experts that are available at Universitas Diponegoro. At the end of the program, they will present their study and project results to representatives from the AIS Forum.
The Innovator Scholarship is aimed at early to mid-career professionals from AIS countries who are looking to expand their network and solve problems affecting archipelagic and island states. AIS Forum will cover all the related expenses during their study in Indonesia.
Candidates will be able to select some of the best courses at the Faculty of Fisheries and Marine Science and have the opportunity to receive credits for their studies. They can choose from a wide range of relevant subjects especially in the area of marine science. Moreover, the selected individuals will have access to on-campus events such as seminars, workshops, conferences, site visits, and internships.

About Kagawa University
Kagawa University is a national, comprehensive university. The
university has six faculties; Education, Economics, Law,
Agriculture, Medicine, and Engineering. There are more than
6000 students studying here, of which, over 200 are
international students.

‘Sanuki’ is the old name of Kagawa. This name is synonymous
with ‘udon’, a thick wheat noodle that is wildly popular among
the local population. Udon shops are ubiquitous in all of Kagawa
and it is no wonder that Kagawa’s nickname is ‘Udon
Prefecture’. In addition, Kagawa is number one in the production
of olives, fans, and gloves. She takes pride in having the longest
walking shopping arcade in Japan, the biggest man-made lake in
Japan, and has the most number of sunny days compared to
other prefectures in Japan.
Kagawa Prefecture is the smallest prefecture in Japan, and has
a population of about 1,000,000. The climate is Mediterraneanlike, with pleasant temperatures throughout the year. Some
summers, however, can be a little hot. The cost of living is
considerably lower compared to other parts of Japan.
The university is situated in Takamatsu City (population over
400,000). It is a mid-sized city, with the main station
(Takamatsu Station) beautifully located at a seafront space
called Sunport. Takamatsu City is home to a well-known
Japanese garden called ‘Ritsurin Park’.
