[ CALL FOR SCHOLARSHIP APPLICATION ] “MAPS – Royal Thai Government Scholarship”

Master of Arts in Asia Pacific Studies (MAPS), Thammasat University is now accepting applications for scholarships for the academic year 2019/2020. A number scholarships are offered to nations of five ASEAN member countries namely the Kingdom of Cambodia, The Lao People’s Democratic Republic, The Republic of the Union of Myanmar, the Socialist Republic of Vietnam, the Republic of Indonesia, and the Republic of Philiphines to study the full time Master of Arts in Asia Pacific Studies Program at Thammasat University, Rangsit Center.

The awards are supported by Master of Arts in Asia Pacific Studies (MAPS), Thammasat University and the Thailand International Development Cooperation Agency (TICA), Ministry of Foreign Affairs. The awards aim to provide opportunity for students of these ASEAN Countries to study in the international cultural environment as well as promoting the spirit of cooperation among students in ASEAN community.

Each scholarship award includes :

  1. Tuition and fee throughout the period of the scholarship award
  2. Accommodation / monthly allowance
  3. Health Insurance
  4. A round trip ticket from the home country to Thailand on award of the scholarship

The scholarship worth approximately 570.000 THB. The duration of the scholarship coverage is 18 months.

Requirements :

2. MAPS – Royal Thai Government Scholarship form, please download and complete the form here.

3. Official Transcript: Candidate must have a bachelor’s degree in any field of study with a good academic record  with GPA 3.00 and above.

4. A valid TU-GET, TOEFL, or IELTS score within two years of the interview date

5. Statement of purpose (500 words maximum)

The Undergraduate Chemistry Program of the Faculty of Science and Mathematics of Universitas Diponegoro was established in 1993 and holds Accreditation A [376] based on Decree of Board of National Accredetation for Higher Education (BAN-PT) No. 3436/SK/BAN-PT/Akred/S/XII/2018 on December 20, 2018 and is valid until Desember, 20 2023. The Undergraduate Program has a vision in 2027 to become a Center Chemistry Research and Education and its Application. One Strategy to realize this vision is to design porgrams that can be internationally recognized. Therefore, starting from 2018/2019 academic year, INTERNATIONAL UNDERGRADUATE PROGRAM (IUP) OF CHEMISTRY has began opened which accepts new students form high school/equivalent.

Semarang, io.undip.semarang: – On 2-3 July 2019, Diponegoro Internasional Office (DIO) currently participate in The 1st SHARE Student Mobility and Alumni Workshop in Ho Chi Minh City, Viet Nam. For those who haven’t know what SHARE was, it’s an Exchange Platform initiated by European Union in order to strengthen collaboration between ASEAN Countries in term of Student Exchange. This program provides scholarships for ASEAN students to study in other countries for one semester. If you want know more of them kindly visit share-asean.eu

This year marks the third year of this scholarship and the second year for Diponegoro University membership. This scholarship has sent so many students fulfilling their dreams of learning and gaining new experiences. The 1st  SHARE Alumni Workshop and Gathering  Undip represented by Ria Destya Ningrum (FISIP), Marko Tatang (FISIP), Paundria Dwijaastuti (FISIP) and Adrian Rizky Fatkhurahman (FISIP) the opportunity to share experiences with other alumni shareholders to form stronger and deeper alumni relations.

After graduate, lot of the alumni express the same feeling on how they change so much due to this program, they now feel much stronger, better in term of communication and character building. Today, Marko work for TDT (a Vietnam Company) and he share his experience on how to become a foreign employee to all participants. Semarang, io.undip.semarang:  – On 13th June 2019, UNDIP held a graduation ceremony for 8 students (Vietnam, Poland, Russia, Netherlands, China, South Korea) from Darmasiswa program. Darmasiswa is a scholarship program offered to all foreign students from countries which have diplomatic relationship with Indonesian language (Bahasa Indonesia), art and culture.

Darmasiswa program is to promote and increase the interest in the language, art and culture of Indonesia. It has also been designed to provide stronger cultural links and understanding among participating countries.

UNDIP has been entrusted by Ministry of Education and Culture (MoEC), the Republic of Indonesia to incorporate in Darmasiswa program. UNDIP has adjusted to Darmasiswa program academic year 2018/2019 with emphasis on Indonesian language program and provide textile enrichment based on Indonesian culture.
