National Chung Hsing University Exchange Program: Call for Application

Semarang, io.undip.ac.id – National Chung Hsing University has undergone a number of significant stages of change. It began as the Advanced Academy of Agronomy and Forestry, founded by the Japanese in Taipei in 1919. After 1928, the Academy became a special department affiliated to Taihoku Imperial University (now National Taiwan University). However, the department became an independent school again in 1943 and was moved to Taichung.

After the Restoration of Taiwan in 1945, the school was reorganized and renamed Taiwan Provincial Taichung Agricultural Junior College. In 1946, the Junior College evolved into a higher institution, Taiwan Provincial College of Agriculture. Then in 1961, it combined with the newly-established College of Science and Engineering on the same Taichung campus and the College of Law and Business founded in Taipei in 1949, to become Taiwan Provincial Chung Hsing University. In 1964, an Evening School was set up on the Taipei Campus. In 1968 another Evening School and the College of Liberal Arts were added to the Taichung Campus. The University continued to grow in size, and in 1971 it became a national university and assumed its present name: National Chung Hsing University (NCHU).

The College of Veterinary Medicine was established in September 1999. In February 2000, the Taipei Campus including the College of Law & Business and Taipei Evening School was combined into the newly established National Taipei University. The College of Social Sciences & Management was established on Taichung Campus at the same time. In August 2002, the Extension Division and the Extension Education Center were combined into the Extension Division for In-service and Continuing Education.

This year, the university offers a student exchange program to the students of Diponegoro University through Diponegoro International Office (DIO), and here are the details:

The student exchange program is designed to facilitate international cooperation and exchange with partner institutions of NCHU.

Program for Academic Exchange (PAX)

This program offers incoming exchange student diverse courses taught in Chinese or English in these colleges:

• College of Liberal Arts
• College of Agriculture and Natural Resources
• College of Science
• College of Engineering
• College of Veterinary Medicine
• College of Management
• College of Law and Politices
• College of Life Sciences and Science
• College of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science

Lab Exchange

This program offers incoming exchange student the opportunity to do research in the lab under the professors’ instruction. We offer labs related to many fields of study. For more information, please see the 2020-2021 lab exchange list (TBD).

Each student will be assigned mentor professor for consultation during his/her stay at NCHU. We welcome students who are interested in learning more about Taiwan to join PAX/Lab Exchange and share their culture with us!

Students must get nomination from home university before apply PAX. Please find our list of partner universities HERE.

Indonesia – Austria Scholarship Program: Call For Application

io.undip.ac.id – Dalam rangka meningkatkan kualifikasi Dosen Tetap di lingkungan Kementerian Pendidikan dan Kebudayaan (Kemendikbud) dan memperkuat kerjasama antara Indonesia dengan Austria, Ditjen Dikti bekerjasama dengan the Austrian Agency for International Mobility and Cooperation in Education, Science and Research (OeAD) kembali membuka pendaftaran Indonesia – Austria Scholarship Programme (IASP) untuk alokasi tahun 2020. Program ini diperuntukkan bagi Dosen Tetap perguruan tinggi di lingkungan Kemendikbud untuk melanjutkan studi ke jenjang Doktor (S3) di Austria.

Syarat dan ketentuan peserta program tersebut yaitu:

1. Dosen Tetap perguruan tinggi di lingkungan Kemendikbud dan memiliki NIDN;
2. Memperoleh izin dari Pimpinan Perguruan Tinggi yang bersangkutan (bagi dosen PTN) dan/atau dari Kepala Lembaga Layanan Pendidikan Tinggi (LLDIKTI) Wilayah masingmasing (bagi dosen PTS);
3. Memiliki gelar S2 atau setara, dengan tahun kelulusan selambatnya tahun 2015;
4. Tidak untuk menempuh gelar kedua dalam strata yang sama;
5. Menguasai bahasa Inggris, dibuktikan dengan sertifikat nilai TOEFL minimal 550, IBT minimal 80 atau IELTS minimal 6.0 (atau sesuai dengan syarat yang berlaku di perguruan tinggi tujuan) yang masih berlaku;
6. Memiliki sertifikat penguasaan Bahasa Jerman (apabila ada);
7. Mempunyai usulan penelitian (research proposal) 2-4 halaman, yang telah didiskusikan dengan calon pembimbing/calon supervisor di universitas tujuan;
8. Usia maksimal 35 tahun saat mendaftar;
9. Memiliki Daftar Riwayat Hidup yang lengkap (dalam Bahasa Inggris);
10. Memiliki 2 buah surat rekomendasi dari universitas asal (dalam Bahasa Inggris);
11. Memilik paspor yang masih berlaku;
12. Memiliki Letter of Acceptance (LoA) yang masih berlaku dan tidak bersyarat (unconditional) dari perguruan tinggi tujuan (asli) atau Letter of Admittance dari professor/calon supervisor di perguruan tinggi tujuan;
13. Pelamar yang berstatus suami-istri dan memiliki bidang keilmuan yang sama tidak diperkenankan melamar pada perguruan tinggi yang sama dan/atau dibimbing oleh supervisor yang sama;
14. Memiliki ijazah (asli) dan transkrip nilai pendidikan terakhir (dalam Bahasa Inggris) yang sudah dilegalisasi.

Pendaftaran dilakukan secara daring melalui http://beasiswadosen.kemdikbud.go.id dengan pilihan jenis beasiswa Indonesia-Austria Scholarship Programme (IASP) S3, selambatnya Senin, 15 Juni 2020.
