Semarang, io.undip.ac._The ASEAN Student Mobility Programme, in conjunction with the ASEAN Universities Exhibition and Forum 2025 (AEF2025), is a hybrid event that gathers students and industry leaders across ASEAN. Designed to foster innovation, leadership, and collaboration, the program aims to address regional challenges and advance the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) through impactful activities and meaningful exchange.

  • Young Speaker Contest: Deliver a speech on one of these themes:
    1. Empowering ASEAN Youth: Leadership for a Sustainable Future (SDG 4, SDG 8)
    2. Strengthening ASEAN Partnerships: Collaboration for Inclusive Development (SDG 17, SDG 10)
    3. ASEAN Climate Action: Pathways to Sustainability and Resilience (SDG 13, SDG 12)
  • ASEAN Future Innovators Challenge: Work with other ASEAN students within the host universities to develop creative solutions and present a 3-minute project video.

Shanghai Ocean University (SHOU) is a multidisciplinary, applied research university, co-established by the State Oceanic Administration, the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs, and the Shanghai Municipal People’s Government. In September 2017, it was elected into China’s World First-Class Disciplines Project. In February 2022, it was included on the list of the second round of Double First-Class Initiative (i.e., world-class universities and first-class disciplines).

School motto: Diligence, Sincerity, Dedication, and Practicality, established on September 1, 1914. Original inspiration: Sea rights extend to the limits of fishing zones. School-running tradition: Write the thesis on the rivers and lakes of the motherland and the oceans and seas of the world.

For 2025 Admission Program, SHOU opens two ways for selection process :

A. CSC Scholarship Type A 

The 2025/2026 Chinese Government Scholarship is now open for application . Online application (http://www.csc.edu.cn/studyinchina or www.campuschina.org) and the corresponding application documents should be submitted in the system before February 23, 2025. There is no need to send paper materials to the embassy.

Scholarship Introduction

China – Indonesia Scholarship in Higher Education Program

- 20 Places for undergraduate/master’s/doctoral programs(it is used for recruiting students who go to China to study marine, medical, health, tourism, education and other required majors)

- Full scholarship

- Does not include international travel expenses

Eligibility:To be eligible, applicants must

– be a citizen of a country other than the People’s Republic of China, and be in good health both mentally and physically.

– be a high school graduate under the age of 25 when applying for undergraduate programs;

– be a bachelor’s degree holder under the age of 35 when applying for master’s programs;

– be a master’s degree holder under the age of 40 when applying for doctoral programs;

– be a high school graduate (at least) under the age of 45 when applying for general scholar programs;

– be a master’s degree holder or an associate professor (or above) under the age of 50 when applying for senior scholar programs.

– have acquired the Chinese proficiency of HSK Level 3 when applying for Chinese-taught undergraduate or general scholar programs (studying Chinese language are exempted);

– have acquired the Chinese proficiency of HSK Level 3 when applying for Chinese-taught senior scholar programs;

– have acquired the Chinese proficiency of HSK Level 4 when applying for Chinese-taught master’s or doctoral programs;

– meet the admission requirements of the applied universities in terms of academic ability, language proficiency and other relevant criterial.

Application Documents

a) Application Form for Chinese Government Scholarship (in Chinese or English).

b) Copy of Passport Home Page: Applicant shall submit a clear scanned copy of his/her ordinary passport with validity later than March 1, 2026.

c) Notarized highest diploma: Prospective diploma winners must submit official proof of student status by their current school. Documents in languages other than Chinese or English must be attached with notarized Chinese or English translations.

d) Academic transcripts: Transcripts in languages other than Chinese or English must be attached with notarized Chinese or English translations.

e) Language qualification certificates. Applicants for Chinese-taught programs must submit valid HSK reports in accordance with the corresponding Chinese proficiency requirements. Applicants for other language-taught programs shall provide relevant language proficiency certificates according to the universities’ requirements, like IELTS or TOFEL report.

f) Pre-Admission Documents. All applicants must provide a pre-admission document issued by the universities applying. Pre-admission documents include pre-admission notice issued by the international students admission department or invitation letter from the schools or professors, etc.

g) A Study Plan or Research Proposal in Chinese or English. (A minimum of 200 words for undergraduates, 500 words for non-degree students, and 800 words for postgraduates.)

h) Recommendation letters: Applicants for graduate programs or senior scholar programs must submit two letters of recommendation in Chinese or English from professors or associate professors.

i) Example of Art. To apply for art or design related majors, applicants could submit their own works through “Example of Art/Other Supporting Documents” in the system. Applicants could also provide such materials to the applied universities directly in other ways.

j) Applicants under the age of 18 should submit the valid documents of their legal guardians in China.

k) Applicants planning to stay in China for more than 6 months must submit a photocopy of the Foreigner Physical Examination Form completed in English (the original copy should be kept by the applicant. The form is designed by the Chinese quarantine authority and can be obtained from the dispatching authority. The physical examinations must cover all the items listed in the Foreigner Physical Examination Form. Incomplete records or those without the signature of the attending physician, the official stamp of the hospital or a sealed photograph of the applicants are invalid. Please select the appropriate time to take physical examination as the result is valid for only 6 months.

l) Non-criminal record report. The applicant shall submit a valid certificate of Non-Criminal Record issued by the local public security authority, usually issued within 6 months prior to the submission date of the application.

Reminder: Uploaded supporting documents must be clear, authentic and valid. Applicants are recommended to use professional device to scan the relevant documents. Applicants shall bear the consequences caused by unclear or unidentifiable uploaded materials.

Time Frames

1) From now on to February 23, 2025

Applicants check the Chinese Government Scholarship website (http://www.csc.edu.cn/studyinchina) for information about Chinese universities and scholarship programs, contact their favorite Chinese universities and obtain the Pre-Admission Documents, submit their online application (Indonesian Agency Number is 3602).

2) February 24 to March 3, 2025

The embassy sends all recommended applications to China Scholarship Council for final review.

3) July to August, 2025

Applicants can check the admission results in the system by themselves. The embassy notifies the scholarship winners to download the admission notice and JW201 visa form from the system.

Reminder

Chinese Government Scholarship students are not allowed to obtain other scholarships (excluding one-time awards) established by the Chinese government at all levels and the admitted universities at the same time. Once found, their Chinese Government Scholarship qualifications will be cancelled, and the received scholarships must be returned. Those who deliberately conceal their funding status will be disqualified and will not be allowed to apply for Chinese Government Scholarships within three years

About Sanuki Program

‘Sanuki’ is the old name of Kagawa. This name is synonymous
with ‘udon’, a thick wheat noodle that is wildly popular among
the local population. Udon shops are ubiquitous in all of Kagawa
and it is no wonder that Kagawa’s nickname is ‘Udon
Prefecture’. In addition, Kagawa is number one in the production
of olives, fans, and gloves. She takes pride in having the longest
walking shopping arcade in Japan, the biggest man-made lake in
Japan, and has the most number of sunny days compared to
other prefectures in Japan.

About Kagawa Prefecture

Kagawa Prefecture is the smallest prefecture in Japan, and has
a population of about 1,000,000. The climate is Mediterraneanlike, with pleasant temperatures throughout the year. Some
summers, however, can be a little hot. The cost of living is
considerably lower compared to other parts of Japan.

The university is situated in Takamatsu City (population over
400,000). It is a mid-sized city, with the main station
(Takamatsu Station) beautifully located at a seafront space
called Sunport. Takamatsu City is home to a well-known
Japanese garden called ‘Ritsurin Park’.

semarang, io.undip.ac.id; International Office of Diponegoro University or well known as DIO, Diponegoro International Office in collaboration with PPI (Perhimpunan Pelajar Indonesia) Taiwan conducted Taiwan Education Expo 2020 on January 23, 2020. This event was held as the implementation of reciprocal cooperation between Taiwan Education and Trade Organization (TETO) and Indonesian trade representative in Taiwan. Every year, the government of Taiwan provides hundreds of scholarship schemes. Taiwan scholarship is deployed to several institution such as Ministry Of Science and Technology (MOST), Ministry Of Education , Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

To promote those all informations, PPI send three Indonesian scholars who are undergoing their Ph.D program in Taiwan, Anita Listiara, Arwan dan Banu. The talks begin with the speech from Head of International Office, Kartika Widya who emphasize the importance of education in the disruption era, Industrial Revolution 4.0. He also welcomes, especially for Indonesian Scholars who undertaking the PhD in Taiwan and very honored to host them in Taiwan Scholarship Expo 2020 held in Undip.

Anisa Listiara

Ms. Anisa Listiara is originally the lecturer of the faculty of psychology at Universitas Diponegoro. She applied Taiwan government scholarship in 2017 and accepted in 2018. She is undergoing the PhD program in cognitive science in Chung Cheng University Taiwan. She share her stories how difficult to get scholarship from abroad  but she encourage the audience to try and never give up. She also mentioned that living in Taiwan is not as hard as people think in terms of language, culture, food , etc. She also gives tips and tricks to get scholarship, especially in Taiwan.

While Mr. Arwan, the other Indonesian scholar who is actually lecturer of faculty of engineering Universitas Diponegoro emphasize that it is important to know all possible offers (scholarship-red) within or outside of Indonesia. “International scholarship is a prestige but national scholarship is also good. Do not limit yourself to get something in this world! Be open minded to all chances that you can take. I am not encouraging you to only apply scholarship in Taiwan, even today we are talking about Taiwan higher education and scholarship. I thank to International Office of Universitas Diponegoro that please us to deliver the information we get.
