[Call for Participant] Study Abroad at the University of the Ryukyus – Short-Term Exchange Program (Spring 2020)

Semarang, io.undip.semarang : Good news! International Office (IO) of Diponegoro University is pleased to announce to all students in Diponegoro University that applications are now opened for Short-Term Exchange Program (Spring 2020) at the University of the Ryukyus, Japan.

University of the Ryukyus will launch a new student exchange program from Spring 2020 to provide students more fruitful and fulfilling experience. This new program is “RISE Program (Ryukyus International Student Exchange Program)”. Ryukyus International Student Exchange (RISE) Program is an arrangement made between the University and other affiliated Universities that enables students to come to the University to conduct research and take classes related to the students’ majors. This program provides students with a deeper understanding of both Okinawan and Japanese cultures and customs. It also gives students the opportunity to return to Japan in the future to pursue graduate studies or research.

(2) Glocal Leadership Course
(3) Japanese Language Teacher Training Course
(4) Major Studies Course

Application Documents :
(1) Application Form( Form 1, Form 2-5, Certificate of Eligibility*
*Please submit this CoE form in Excel format.
(2) Recommendation Letter
(3) Academic transcript from the applicant’s home University
(4) Certificate of Enrollment from the applicant’s home University
(5) Color photograph (showing clearly the applicant’s head and shoulders, 3cm x 4cm against a plain white, gray or blue background)
(6) Color copy of applicant’s passport (page with personal details)
(7) The student must either be enrolled as a full-time undergraduate student who has completed his/her first year of study at his/her home Institution or be matriculated as a graduate student.
(8) Junior college students who apply must be in their final year of study.
(9) The students must be proficient in Japanese at the level required by each given Admission and Period of Stay course.

[IO HIGHLIGHT] Visit from DIT, Timor Leste

Semarang, io.undip.semarang: –On Friday, 16 April 2019 at 08.30 am, delegations from Dili Institute Technology (DIT), Timor Leste attended a meeting with Universitas Diponegoro, taking place at Quality Hall Widya Puraya Undip.

The delegations were:
1. Jaoa Bosco Beli, B. Eng, MT, Pro Rector Resources Admin and Personnel, DIT
2. Natalino Fonseca Da Silva Guterres, Dean of Engineering Faculty, DIT
3. 32 students of Mechanical Engineering, DIT

The delegations were welcomed by Dr. Ir. Ita Widowati, DEA, Head of International Office, Undip.

The agenda of the meeting was to discuss the students training. 32 students of Mechanical Engineering Faculty , Dili Institute of Technology will start the training of Welds Inspection at Undip for a week. This training is the implementation of the collaboration between the two institutions for an international short program. This is the third training program collaboration between the two institutions. It is also to strengthen collaboration between Undip and DIT in the future.

[PRESS RELEASE] Taiwan Scholarship Sharing Session 2019


Semarang, io.undip.semarang:  –Taiwan scholarships sharing session has been held Friday, 16 April 2019 at 09.30 which takes place in Quality Hall Widya Puraya, Diponegoro University. More than 40 students are attend this Sharing Session.

This event aims to disseminate scholarships at Taiwan to help students education in Taiwan. The scholarships sharing session was welcomed by Dr. Ir. Ita Widowati, DEA as head of International Office Undip and several speakers from Indonesia Taiwan Education Center in Surabaya (TECSID).

Mrs. Widowati hopes that with this event Undip students will increasingly literate scholarships and be able to get the scholarship that every students wants according to their needs.

[ CALL FOR SCHOLARSHIP APPLICATION ] “MAPS – Royal Thai Government Scholarship”

Master of Arts in Asia Pacific Studies (MAPS), Thammasat University is now accepting applications for scholarships for the academic year 2019/2020. A number scholarships are offered to nations of five ASEAN member countries namely the Kingdom of Cambodia, The Lao People’s Democratic Republic, The Republic of the Union of Myanmar, the Socialist Republic of Vietnam, the Republic of Indonesia, and the Republic of Philiphines to study the full time Master of Arts in Asia Pacific Studies Program at Thammasat University, Rangsit Center.

The awards are supported by Master of Arts in Asia Pacific Studies (MAPS), Thammasat University and the Thailand International Development Cooperation Agency (TICA), Ministry of Foreign Affairs. The awards aim to provide opportunity for students of these ASEAN Countries to study in the international cultural environment as well as promoting the spirit of cooperation among students in ASEAN community.

Each scholarship award includes :

  1. Tuition and fee throughout the period of the scholarship award
  2. Accommodation / monthly allowance
  3. Health Insurance
  4. A round trip ticket from the home country to Thailand on award of the scholarship

The scholarship worth approximately 570.000 THB. The duration of the scholarship coverage is 18 months.

3. Official Transcript: Candidate must have a bachelor’s degree in any field of study with a good academic record  with GPA 3.00 and above.
