Semarang, io.undip.ac.id – As a partner of the Diponegoro International Office (DIO), Bangkok University is offering a Student Exchange Programme for students who wish to study there in the Fall Semester 2026. The programme is available for one semester from August 2026 to December 2026, or for one academic year from August 2026 to May 2027.

About

Bangkok University was established in 1962 as one of Thailand’s first and largest private universities. The university enrolls tens of thousands of students across its campuses in Bangkok and Rangsit, offering a creative and industry-focused education that emphasizes practical skills, innovation, and entrepreneurial thinking. Bangkok University provides a wide range of academic programs at the undergraduate, graduate, and doctoral levels, including both Thai-medium and international English-taught programs.

The university has 12 schools offering bachelor’s programs in fields such as Business Administration, Accounting, Communication Arts, Digital Media and Cinematic Arts, Humanities and Tourism Management, Law, Economics and Investment, Information Technology and Innovation, Fine and Applied Arts, Engineering, Architecture, and Entrepreneurship and Management. In addition, Bangkok University International (BU International) delivers full international degree programs in areas including Marketing, Communication Strategy and Ideation, Business English, International Tourism and Hospitality Management, and AI Engineering and Entrepreneurship, all taught in English.

At the postgraduate level, Bangkok University’s Graduate School offers master’s and doctoral programs in fields such as Business Administration, Communication Arts, Electrical and Computer Engineering, Innovation Management, and Knowledge Management and Innovation Management, with both Thai and international options in partnership with global institutions. 

Expected Fees

  • Tuition : This exchange option is self-funded. 
  • Estimated living expenses (foof, transportation, entertainment) are approximately 15.000 – 25.000 Baht per month (IDR 8.000.000 – 15.000.000). Does not include accommodation and varies greatly according to individual students’ lifestyle.
  • Insurance : Students are encouraged to obtain health insurance to cover their period of study. For the best cost-effective benefits, the University provides students with accident insurance with 24-hour coverage and a low-premium policy. The insurance covers injuries, disabilities and death.

Accomodation

Bangkok University offers several accommodation options for students on a short-term contract (5–6 months), including Dobedo Student Residence, Skyview Apartment, Keystone Apartment, Zoom Condo, and KAVE Condo.

Additional housing options are also available for students who wish to stay for up to 1 year.

Document Requirements (for Internal Selection by DIO)

  1.   Active Student Status
    Applicants must be active students who have completed at least their third semester, as proven by a valid Student ID Card (KTM) and KRS.
  2.   Minimum GPA
    A minimum cumulative GPA of 3.00, as shown in the official academic transcript (english version).
  3.   Recommendation Letter
    A recommendation letter issued by the Dean or Vice Dean of the applicant’s faculty.
  4.   Foreign Language Proficiency

English-Language proficiency test score report (obtain within 2 years)

    • IELTS 5.0 or above in all skills, 
    • TOEFL 500 PBT, 173 CBT, 61 IBT etc (minimum)
    • TOEIC 600
    • Duolingo English Test (DET) score 80 in all sub-score

Programme Background

The Netherlands is home to a significant semiconductor ecosystem, with companies like ASML, NXP, ASM and BESI. The sector employs approximately 50.000 people working in 300 companies. The need to seek additional talent is growing. Therefore, the Dutch Government has developed a national reinforcement plan for microchip talent, known as the ‘Project Beethoven’. The relationships of the Netherlands with countries in Southeast Asia are of particular importance. Southeast Asia combines a young and talented human resource base, growing economies who mostly have arrived at a middle-income status, predictable governance and a welcoming environment for investment from the Netherlands and Europe.

In this context, the first Netherlands-Southeast Asia Semiconductor Short Talent Programme will be organized in 11 – 22 August 2025 in Universiti Malaya, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. The programme is building on a growing track record of engagement between the Netherlands and Southeast Asian countries and considering how knowledge interests of the Netherlands are converging with interests and needs in the Southeast Asia region. It aims to strengthen cooperation and foster student mobility and professional exchange thus enhancing the interconnectedness of the Dutch ecosystem with the emerging semiconductor ecosystems in the Southeast Asia region.

 

Programme Objectives

  • Promote the Netherlands as a portal to knowledge and business opportunities in the semiconductor industry, including strengthening positive (diplomatic, trade & investment, R&D) relations between the Netherlands and countries in Southeast Asia
  • Generate interest to study and work in the Netherlands in the semiconductor field
  • Contribute to the development of Southeast Asia’s high-skilled semiconductor workforce
  • Improve Dutch businesses’ access to talent and promote Dutch investment in Southeast Asia
  • Contribute to building a Netherlands semiconductor alumni network in Southeast Asia, which will support expanded future cooperation in the semiconductor field

 

Programme Components

  • Lectures by Dutch Experts from Industry and Academia
  • Lectures by Malaysian, and possible other Southeast Asian Experts
  • Lectures by Southeast Asian Alumni who work in the Semiconductor industry in NL
  • Company visits: NXP, Besi and Neways – Other companies might still be added
  • Group Assignments (groups of 6 students, one from each participating country)
  • Networking and Social Engagements

 

Programme Coverage

  • Programme participation fee is waived
  • Accommodation and local transports will be provided
  • Certificate of completion
  • Exposure to wide semiconductor industry networks and intercultural peers from the SEA region

 

Target Countries – Students

  • Target Countries: 6 countries in the Southeast Asia region, including Malaysia, Singapore, Vietnam, Thailand, Indonesia and the Philippines
  • Target Students: 60 participants – 10 active master and bachelor students in STEM-related majors per country in which most possibly 2 students per university

Eligibility Criteria

1. Nationality Applicants are required to have a nationality that is similar to the country of origin of where their universities are located.
2. Age requirement Applicants should be between 21 and 35 years old at the time of participating in the programme.
3. Academic aspects As for academic qualifications, the applicants should meet these requirements:

1.       Active master and bachelor students in STEM-related majors, preferably students who have completed at least 1 (one) semester of their master’s degree period and in the final year for bachelor degree.

2.       Applicants should have a GPA of at least 3.00 (in index of 4.0 form) or equal.

3.       Applicants should have been exposed to or have sufficient knowledge of at least 3 (three) subjects from the following list.

a.      Integrated Circuit (IC) Design

b.      Microelectronics

c.      Semiconductor Manufacturing, process including back-end and front-end, wafer fabrication, assembly, testing and packaging

d.      Semiconductor equipment

e.      Artificial Intelligence

f.        Control System Design

g.      Power Systems

h.      High Voltage Testing Process

i.         Software Engineering

j.         System Engineering

k.       Material Science

l.         Advanced Optics

m.    Optomechatronics

n.      Mechatronics design

o.      Photonics

p.      Quantum computing

4. Required documents Applicants who have been nominated by their university are expected to submit an application via the Delta platform managed by Nuffic Southeast Asia. The application will include:

1.       Copy of a passport valid for at least another 6 (six) months by the end of August 2025

2.       1 (one) page of Motivation letter covering these points:

a.      What is your motivation to participate in this short programme?

b.      What are your expectations after participating in this short programme?

c.      What are your plans for contributing to the development of the semiconductor industry?

3.       Curriculum Vitae (CV)

4.       Nomination letter by home university

5. English proficiency Applicants should have at least a working level of English proficiency, equal to:

1.       TOEFL: iBT 80 / ITP 550

2.       IELTS: 6.0

6. Leadership & community engagement (optional) Applicants who have demonstrated a contribution to leadership and community engagement would be a plus, such as:

1.       Active in students’ organisation or association

2.       Active in research and development on engineering lab activities, specifically in the semiconductor field

3.       Active in international programme(s)

This is to be highlighted in the CV.

7. Consent and commitment Applicants shall comply with the procedures and regulations to participate in this short programme, including:

1.       Follow all recruitment steps and participate in the programme attentively

2.       Endorse the objectives of the short programme and strive to contribute to achieving the goals of the programme

3.       Be willing to join and share the knowledge and experiences gained during the short programme in further dissemination activities in the home country after returning back.

Semarang, io.undip.ac.id_We are delighted to inform you that FSci International Internship Program 2025 is now open for the 2nd round applications.

The duration of the program will be from June 12 to July 25, 2025 (the complimentary DMK and BKK airport pick up and drop-off arrival of the selected students will be on June 10th-11th, 2025 and July 29-30, 2025).
The selected students will receive academic research training in a laboratory, as detailed in the guidance enclosed in the application package.

Please note that no tuition fee will be charged for this program. However, there is a program fee of 30,000 THB which will cover the following expenditures:

1. On-campus dormitory (rent only, utilities not included)
2. Research equipment
3. Airport pickup and drop-off (only for selected dates)
4. Cultural Trip

There is no limit on the number of students each university can nominate.

As for the financial support for the program, we will consider one or two students from each partner university for the full scholarship (100% program fee exemption)

The details are in the guidance. All students will be asked to give internship reports and presentations. At the end of the program, the students will deliver their final presentations. If the home university authorizes the program as an internship/other course, the student will earn credits according to home university. The authorization of the credits is at the discretion of the home university, and FSci, KMUTT will not be able to interfere with the decision.

This program will assist in increasing student mobility and closer collaboration between partners. Please publicize this program to your students.

Semarang, io.undip.ac.id_We are delighted to announce that the Ministry of Education (MoE) of Taiwan and the Education Division at Taipei Economic and Trade Office (TETO) in Indonesia currently open the application of 2025 Taiwan Scholarship. MoE Taiwan Scholarship is open for Indonesian outstanding students to pursue their degree programs (Undergraduate, Master, and Doctoral programs) in Taiwan. Not only degree program scholarship, we also provide 2025 Huayu Enrichment Scholarship (HES) to encourage more Indonesians to learn Mandarin in Taiwan for one year. The application deadline for both scholarship programs is March 31, 2025.
