Semarang, 4 March 2026 – Universitas Diponegoro (UNDIP) welcomed an official delegation from the University of Sheffield for a strategic discussion focused on curriculum alignment and the development of collaborative pathways to enhance graduate-level student mobility.

The visiting delegation from the University of Sheffield was represented by Ms. Louise McCarthy, who engaged in comprehensive discussions with UNDIP’s leadership. Representing UNDIP was Mr. Wijayanto, S.IP., M.Si., Ph.D., Vice Rector, who conveyed the university’s strong commitment to expanding global academic partnerships.

Also attending the meeting were Prof. Dr. Ir. Hadiyanto, S.T., M.Sc., IPU, Director of Reputation, Partnership, and Global Connectivity, along with the Director of Academic Affairs and Vice Deans from faculties and schools across UNDIP. Their presence reflected institutional readiness to pursue structured and sustainable international collaboration.

The Diponegoro International Office (DIO) played a central role in facilitating the visit, coordinating the agenda, and ensuring alignment with UNDIP’s internationalization framework. During the institutional dialogue, Mr. Pulung Widhi Hari Hananto, S.H., M.H., LL.M., and Mr. Abdul Rohman, S.Hum., representing the Diponegoro International Office, actively steered discussions on academic alignment, partnership mechanisms, and mobility schemes.

A key focus of the meeting was the matching and harmonization of graduate program curricula between both institutions. The discussion explored potential pathways for joint supervision, credit transfer systems, and the establishment of structured mobility programs designed to provide students with enriched academic exposure in both Indonesia and the United Kingdom.

Both universities expressed mutual interest in developing collaborative models that support graduate student exchanges, joint research supervision, double degree or academic progression pathways, as well as academic staff mobility under the funding of Indonesia Endowment Fund for Education (LPDP). These initiatives are designed to create an integrated academic ecosystem that promotes knowledge exchange, strengthens research collaboration, and provides students and faculty members with meaningful international exposure while maintaining high academic standards at both institutions.

The initiative aims to ensure that curriculum compatibility supports seamless academic transition and maintains high academic standards across institutions.

Beyond academic alignment, the discussion also emphasized governance, quality assurance, and operational readiness. The Diponegoro International Office will continue to coordinate follow-up communications, technical mapping of study programs, and institutional documentation to support the development of a formal cooperation framework.

Furthermore, the Diponegoro International Office (DIO) reaffirmed its commitment to overseeing mobility administration, student support services, and partnership sustainability to ensure that future collaboration delivers measurable academic impact.

The visit marked an important milestone in strengthening ties between Universitas Diponegoro and the University of Sheffield, reflecting a shared vision to enhance global engagement and create meaningful international learning opportunities for graduate students.

Semarang, 4 March 2026 – Universitas Diponegoro (UNDIP) conducted a strategic coordination meeting with International Talent Circulation (INTACT) Base Taiwan-Indonesia in preparation for the Taiwan–Indonesia International Fall 2026 INTENSE Programs Education Fair, which will be hosted at Muladi Dome UNDIP.

The meeting took place at the Rector’s Meeting Room, Widya Puraya Building, and focused on strengthening collaboration to expand educational and professional pathways for Indonesian students through the Taiwan International Industrial Talents Education Special Program (INTENSE Program). The coordination process was closely supported by the Diponegoro International Office (DIO) as part of its mandate to facilitate and oversee UNDIP’s international partnerships.

From UNDIP, the discussion was led by Prof. Dr. Ir. Hadiyanto, S.T., M.Sc., IPU, Mr. Pulung Widhi Hari Hananto, S.H., M.H., LL.M., and Mr. Abdul Rohman, S.Hum., who steered the institutional dialogue on academic alignment, event preparation, and strategic outreach.

From INTACT Base Taiwan, the discussion was led by Prof. Shuenn-Ren Cheng, serving as the official representative of INTACT Base Taiwan. The presentation session was also delivered by Mr. Muhammad Eraz Aufarrahman, Program Manager and representative of INTACT Base Taiwan, who outlined the technical framework of the INTENSE Program, its implementation mechanisms, and coordination strategies for the 2026 EduFair.

MoA Signing and Institutional Commitment

As part of the continued partnership, a Memorandum of Agreement (MoA) was formally signed, marking a strengthened and more operational commitment between both institutions. The signing ceremony was facilitated institutionally by the Diponegoro International Office, ensuring compliance with UNDIP’s international cooperation governance and documentation procedures.

The MoA signing on behalf of UNDIP was represented by Vice Rector Wijayanto, S.IP., M.Si., Ph.D., reflecting the university’s full institutional support for the INTENSE Program and the upcoming 2026 EduFair.

Meanwhile, from INTACT Base Taiwan, the MoA was signed by Prof. Shuenn-Ren Cheng, reaffirming INTACT’s commitment to advancing Taiwan–Indonesia academic and industry-linked collaboration under the INTENSE framework.

The agreement is grounded in mutual respect and reciprocity, in accordance with the regulations of Indonesia and Taiwan (Republic of China), and aims to foster sustainable academic exchange and industry-linked education initiatives.

Preparing for the 2026 INTENSE EduFair

The upcoming EduFair at Muladi Dome UNDIP is expected to serve as a comprehensive platform for Indonesian students to explore study opportunities in Taiwan, particularly under the INTENSE Program for the Fall 2026 intake.

In the lead-up to the event, the Diponegoro International Office (DIO) will continue coordinating partner communication, campus-wide dissemination, and operational readiness to ensure the successful implementation of the international education fair.

Through this collaboration, UNDIP and INTACT Base Taiwan reaffirm their shared commitment to strengthening global academic networks and creating impactful, sustainable Taiwan–Indonesia partnerships in the years ahead.

Diponegoro University participated in Hongkong-APAIE 2026


Hong Kong – Universitas Diponegoro (Undip) participated in the international higher education event organized by the Asia-Pacific Association for International Education (APAIE) from 23–27 February 2026 at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre. The event served as a strategic forum for universities across the Asia-Pacific region and beyond to expand global collaboration.

At APAIE 2026, more than 600 higher education institutions from various countries took part in the conference and exhibition, bringing together university leaders, international office directors, academics, and industry partners. The forum featured discussion sessions, business matching, and bilateral meetings focused on strengthening international partnerships.

Undip’s participation in APAIE 2026 aimed to develop strategic partnerships with leading universities and educational institutions worldwide. In addition, the engagement was directed at enhancing the quality of education, improving higher education resource management, and advancing academic performance at the global level.

Through various bilateral meetings and discussion forums, the Undip delegation, trough Diponegoro International Office (DIO) promoted its flagship programs, joint research schemes, student exchange initiatives, double degree programs, and other academic collaboration opportunities. This effort also supports Undip’s internationalization strategy in increasing student recruitment—both inbound and outbound—as well as expanding the institution’s global exposure.

Undip’s presence at APAIE 2026 reaffirms its commitment to strengthening its position as an internationally reputable university that remains adaptive to global dynamics. By expanding networks and building cross-border collaborations, Undip is optimistic about continuously improving the quality of its tridharma (education, research, and community service) and enhancing the global competitiveness of its graduates.

Study in Indonesia Booth: Always Crowded

At APAIE 2026 in Hong Kong, Undip joined 15 Indonesian universities under the consortium Nationwide University Network in Indonesia (NUNI). As a member of the NUNI consortium, Universitas Diponegoro participated in the “Study in Indonesia” booth.

Exhibitors from various countries showed strong enthusiasm in visiting the booth. Undip recorded numerous initial international collaboration initiatives with institutions such as Hallym University, CY Cergy Paris Université, Universiti Malaysia Pahang Al-Sultan Abdullah, Mapúa University, Rowan University, Parchment, University of Pécs, University of Missouri, Myongji University, ITMO University, Burapha University, Akdeniz University, Mumbai Institute of Technology, and Université Paris-Saclay.

Universitas Diponegoro assigned its Directorate of Reputation, Partnership, and Global Connectivity (DRKKG) to serve as exhibitor at the event. Alhamdulillah, this participation resulted in numerous collaboration initiatives, including student exchange programs, joint international conferences, joint research projects, and visiting lecturer arrangements.

Undip’s participation in the Asia-Pacific Association for International Education Conference and Exhibition 2026 (APAIE 2026) marks a strategic step in strengthening its transformation toward becoming a World Class University (WCU). Semarang, io.undip.ac.id – The Diponegoro International Office is pleased to announce the Fall Semester 2026 Student Exchange Programme at the University of Nottingham Ningbo China (UNNC).

Established in 2004, UNNC became the first Sino-foreign university approved by the Ministry of Education of the People’s Republic of China. The campus hosts approximately 9,000 undergraduate and postgraduate students, including around 800 international students from more than 70 countries and regions. All programmes are delivered entirely in English, maintaining the same teaching quality and academic standards as the University of Nottingham in the United Kingdom.

  • Accommodation, meals and daily expenses: must be paid by the students. 
  • The cost of living in Ningbo for a single international student is estimated to be 27,200 – 51,500 RMB per year including accommodation, meals, entertainment and other necessities. 
  • Insurance: All international students must be covered by ‘Comprehensive International Student Insurance of China Pacific Insurance (Group) Co., Ltd (CPIC) for their whole study period. CPIC shall undertake the following insurance liabilities during the period of insurance: death insurance, accidental disability insurance, medical insurance for accidental injury, outpatient, emergency and hospitalization.   • 5% of exchange students can be awarded places.
  • The awardee will be awarded a one-off payment of 3,000 RMB per semester

2026 Summer DGIST Graduate School Research Internship (South Korea)


Semarang, io.undip.ac.id – Through the Diponegoro International Office (DIO), Universitas Diponegoro continues to strengthen its international academic collaboration by promoting the 6-week Research Internship for International Undergraduate Students at DGIST. This program offers hands-on research experience under the supervision of DGIST professors, along with opportunities to experience academic and cultural life in Korea. 

The program is coordinated internally by the Diponegoro International Office (DIO), while the selection process is conducted by each respective faculty before nomination to DGIST.

Program Period: June 29, 2026 – August 7, 2026 (6 weeks)

Program Coverage
  • Internship in one laboratory within one of the 7 departments of DGIST Graduate School
  • Supervision by a DGIST professor
  • On-campus dormitory (shared room for 2 participants) – fully covered by DGIST
  • Total financial support of approximately KRW 1,560,000 per participant, including:
    • Scholarship: KRW 552,000
    • Dormitory fee (including utilities): KRW 378,000 (fully covered)
    • Daily allowance: KRW 630,000
  • Daily allowance will be transferred to participants’ Korean bank accounts (participants are required to open a Korean bank account upon arrival)

Note: Participants are responsible for international/domestic transportation, visa (C-3-1 Short-term Visit), insurance, and other personal expenses.

Eligibility
  • 3rd or 4th year undergraduate students (completed at least four semesters)
  • Not currently enrolled in a Master’s or PhD program
  • Minimum GPA equivalent to 3.0/4.0 (≥75%)
  • Must remain enrolled at their home university with at least one semester remaining after the program
  • Non-Korean nationality
  • High level of English proficiency
