Semarang, io.undip.ac.id  —Kangwon National University (KNU) is excited to announce its 2025 Spring Exchange Program, welcoming students from partner institutions around the globe. This program offers an exceptional opportunity for international students to experience South Korean culture and education at one of the country’s leading universities.

Qualification

1. Qualification of understanding classes in Korean or English

2. Undergraduate who completed at least 2 semesters at home university

3. Minimum GPA  2.7 out of 4.0  (or 3.0  out of 4.5)

– Application: Online application (KNU OIA will open the online website for the nominee)

[Important point]

Students need to upload 1, 2 via online application. Also they need to bring 1, 2 in person when they enter Korea. (Exemption for the students from OECD Country students)

1. Certificate of Enrollment must be Apostilled or notarized Korea Embassy in your country

2. Submission of Bank Statement Certificate

1. Students contact Diponegoro International Office (DIO) through e-mail exchange@live.undip.ac.id
2. Students need to submit the required documents instructing by DIO
3. DIO will recommend the students to Office of International Affairs of Kangwon National University

We are excited to announce the opening of applications for the Ryukyus Student Exchange Program for the spring semester of 2025. This program offers an incredible opportunity for students to immerse themselves in a diverse academic and cultural environment at Ryukyus University.

About the Program: The Ryukyus Student Exchange Program allows students to spend a semester studying at Ryukyus University in Japan, experiencing its renowned academic programs and vibrant campus life. Participants will have the chance to engage with students from around the world, broaden their perspectives, and create lifelong memories.

Eligibility: To be eligible for the program, students must:

  • Be currently enrolled at Diponegoro University
  • Meet the academic requirements set by both Diponegoro University and Ryukyus University
  • Have proficiency in English or Japanese, depending on the language of instruction for their chosen courses

Application Process: Interested students should visit the Diponegoro International Office website to access the application form and detailed instructions. The application deadline is 24th October 2024. Applicants will be required to submit transcripts, letters of recommendation, a statement of purpose, and any other relevant documents outlined in the application guidelines.

Program Highlights:

Academic Calendar:

  1. Spring Semester: Early March – Mid-June
  2. Summer Break: Late June – Late August
  3. Fall Semester: Early September – Late December
  4. Winter Break: Late December – Late February

Eligibility Requirements:

  1. Ability to understand classes in Korean or English
  2. Completion of at least two semesters at the home university
  3. GPA of 2.7 or higher on a 4.0 scale (or 3.0 on a 4.5 scale)

Nomination and Application Deadlines:

  1. Spring Semester Nomination Deadline: October 20

Nomination Process: 

Partner institutions can nominate students using our straightforward Excel form, available on our website. Following nomination, students will submit their online applications by the deadlines specified.

 

Transcript Information: 

KNU will provide English transcripts to each student’s home university automatically at the end of each semester.

ASEAN Cyber Shield Exchange Student Program

Overview

This is a student exchange program funded by the ASEAN-Korea Cooperation Fund and is carried out by universities in ASEAN countries that have signed an exchange agreement with KNU’s CAMPUS ASEAN Cybershield Exchange Student Program Project Team (hereinafter referred to as the ASEAN CS-ESP Team).

Objective

This program aims to equip you with the necessary skills to become a cybersecurity expert who can effectively tackle the challenges faced by both public and private sectors in your country, as well as in the global arena.

Field

Information security and cybersecurity expertise, as well as expertise in responding to cyber infringements/fraud, among other areas.

Eligibility

  • Any full time junior or senior university student from an ASEAN country that has signed an exchange agreement with KNU’s Office of International Affairs.
  • Students majoring in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent majors.
  • Students who are also enrolled in their own university while studying at Kangwon National University.
  • Students who can attend lectures in English.
  • Students who are eligible for overseas travel.

  • Exchange Student Application(Online application link)
  • Letter of introduction with your study plan (provided a CV form file)
  • A copy of valid Passport (attached as a file)
  • Academic transcripts (attached as a file)
  • Certificate of enrollment (attached as a file)
  • Recommendation letter from the Office of International Affairs or an affiliated department (attached as a file)

Financial Support

  • Tuition and fees: Application, admission, and tuition fees are waived
  • Scholarship: Round-trip airfare and dormitory fees are covered.

Note

  • Please note that ASEAN CS-ESP is undergraduate exchange student program.
  • Upon completion of ASEAN CS-ESP, participants will receive a certificate instead of credit exchange. The certificate proves that you have completed the ASEAN CS-ESP for one year.

Canada-ASEAN Scholarships and Educational Exchanges for Development


Semarang; Diponegoro International Office – On August 6, 2017, the Government of Canada announced the Canada-ASEAN Scholarships and Educational Exchanges for Development (SEED) program to provide opportunities for students from ASEAN member states to conduct short-term study or research in Canadian post-secondary institutions in areas that contribute to the implementation of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development .

 

The Canada-ASEAN Scholarships and Educational Exchanges for Development program aims to reduce poverty in the developing countries of ASEAN and to achieve the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development . Scholarships and educational exchanges will contribute towards the achievement of all Sustainable Development Goals  (SDGs). SEED contributes to strengthening people-to-people ties between Canada and the Indo-Pacific region.

SEED scholarships are facilitated through institutional collaborations and student exchange agreements between post-secondary institutions in Canada and their partner institutions in ASEAN countries.

The Canada-ASEAN Scholarships and Educational Exchanges for Development Program is a Short-term Exchange Program under Global Affairs Canada’s International Scholarships Program.

Eligibility

To be eligible, you must be:

  • ✔ a citizen of an ASEAN member state
    • Brunei Darussalam, Cambodia, Indonesia, Laos (Lao People’s Democratic Republic (Lao PDR)), Malaysia, Myanmar, The Philippines, Singapore, Thailand, or Vietnam
  • ✔ a student enrolled full-time at a post-secondary institution in an ASEAN member state
  • ✔ paying tuition fees to that institution at the time of application and for the full duration of your exchange

Students are not eligible for this scholarship if:

  • you hold or have a pending application for Canadian citizenship or permanent residency
  • you are already participating in a scholarship program funded by the Government of Canada
  • you are already enrolled in a degree, diploma or certificate program at a Canadian post-secondary institution
  • you have previously received a scholarship under the Canada-ASEAN Scholarships and Educational Exchanges for Development Program

Canadian post-secondary institutions interested in hosting students must:

  • ✔ be a Designated Learning Institution  (DLI)
  • ✔ have a valid student exchange agreement with the student’s home institution that waives tuition fees for scholarship recipients (required for college/undergraduate study only)
