Semarang, io.undip.ac.id; Singapore Society for Microbiology and Biotechnology (SSMB) organise International Union Microbiological Societies Congresses 2017 in Singapore. Over the span of 5 days, it brings together three congresses; 15th International Congress of Bacteriology and Applied Microbiology, 15th International Congress of Mycology and Eukaryotic Microbiology and 17th International Congress of Virology.With more than 100 International and regional speakers, IUMS 2017 Singapore will highlight the future direction of Microbiology for the next decade and will provide excellent opportunities to foster scientific development. The Organisers invite scientists, researchers, clinicians, post-doctoral fellow, PhD students, post-graduate and professionals in microbiology fields to submit their abstract for Oral and/or Poster Presentation to the IUMS 2017 Singapore on those congresses. The organisers of IUMS2017 are pleased to extend travel grants to eligible candidates to encourage and provide greater opportunities for the microbiology community to participate at the congresses. Semarang, io.undip.ac.id; Diponegoro University in collaboration with Muhammadiyah Surakarta University (UMS) conduct a summer course entitled “Summer Course Indonesian Complimentary Nursing Therapy” on Wednesday, 10 August 2016 to Friday, 12 August 2016. This event is attended by 25 participants from Indonesia, Madagascar, Thailand, Papua New Guinea, and Libya. In the opening ceremony of the summer course, one of the delegates from Khon Khaen University, Thailand stated that it is their first time visiting Indonesia and they are so happy that Indonesian people are kind and friendly. After the opening ceremony, delegates of the summer course attended a seminar held in the department of nursing of Diponegoro University to study about the complimentary nursing therapy. The first day activity is ended with the city tour around Semarang.
In the second day, the delegates attended a half day full of seminar about the holistic nursing and then went to the home care to learn about hypnotherapy such as bekam. Meanwhile, in the last day, the delegates visited Sido Muncul Factory to learn about herbal medicine and its production process.
