Shanghai Ocean University (SHOU) is a multidisciplinary, applied research university, co-established by the State Oceanic Administration, the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs, and the Shanghai Municipal People’s Government. In September 2017, it was elected into China’s World First-Class Disciplines Project. In February 2022, it was included on the list of the second round of Double First-Class Initiative (i.e., world-class universities and first-class disciplines).
School motto: Diligence, Sincerity, Dedication, and Practicality, established on September 1, 1914. Original inspiration: Sea rights extend to the limits of fishing zones. School-running tradition: Write the thesis on the rivers and lakes of the motherland and the oceans and seas of the world.
For 2025 Admission Program, SHOU opens two ways for selection process :
A. CSC Scholarship Type A
The 2025/2026 Chinese Government Scholarship is now open for application . Online application (http://www.csc.edu.cn/studyinchina or www.campuschina.org) and the corresponding application documents should be submitted in the system before February 23, 2025. There is no need to send paper materials to the embassy.
Scholarship Introduction
China – Indonesia Scholarship in Higher Education Program
- 20 Places for undergraduate/master’s/doctoral programs(it is used for recruiting students who go to China to study marine, medical, health, tourism, education and other required majors)
- Full scholarship
- Does not include international travel expenses
Eligibility:To be eligible, applicants must
– be a citizen of a country other than the People’s Republic of China, and be in good health both mentally and physically.
– be a high school graduate under the age of 25 when applying for undergraduate programs;
– be a bachelor’s degree holder under the age of 35 when applying for master’s programs;
– be a master’s degree holder under the age of 40 when applying for doctoral programs;
– be a high school graduate (at least) under the age of 45 when applying for general scholar programs;
– be a master’s degree holder or an associate professor (or above) under the age of 50 when applying for senior scholar programs.
– have acquired the Chinese proficiency of HSK Level 3 when applying for Chinese-taught undergraduate or general scholar programs (studying Chinese language are exempted);
– have acquired the Chinese proficiency of HSK Level 3 when applying for Chinese-taught senior scholar programs;
– have acquired the Chinese proficiency of HSK Level 4 when applying for Chinese-taught master’s or doctoral programs;
– meet the admission requirements of the applied universities in terms of academic ability, language proficiency and other relevant criterial.
Application Documents
a) Application Form for Chinese Government Scholarship (in Chinese or English).
b) Copy of Passport Home Page: Applicant shall submit a clear scanned copy of his/her ordinary passport with validity later than March 1, 2026.
c) Notarized highest diploma: Prospective diploma winners must submit official proof of student status by their current school. Documents in languages other than Chinese or English must be attached with notarized Chinese or English translations.
d) Academic transcripts: Transcripts in languages other than Chinese or English must be attached with notarized Chinese or English translations.
e) Language qualification certificates. Applicants for Chinese-taught programs must submit valid HSK reports in accordance with the corresponding Chinese proficiency requirements. Applicants for other language-taught programs shall provide relevant language proficiency certificates according to the universities’ requirements, like IELTS or TOFEL report.
f) Pre-Admission Documents. All applicants must provide a pre-admission document issued by the universities applying. Pre-admission documents include pre-admission notice issued by the international students admission department or invitation letter from the schools or professors, etc.
g) A Study Plan or Research Proposal in Chinese or English. (A minimum of 200 words for undergraduates, 500 words for non-degree students, and 800 words for postgraduates.)
h) Recommendation letters: Applicants for graduate programs or senior scholar programs must submit two letters of recommendation in Chinese or English from professors or associate professors.
i) Example of Art. To apply for art or design related majors, applicants could submit their own works through “Example of Art/Other Supporting Documents” in the system. Applicants could also provide such materials to the applied universities directly in other ways.
j) Applicants under the age of 18 should submit the valid documents of their legal guardians in China.
k) Applicants planning to stay in China for more than 6 months must submit a photocopy of the Foreigner Physical Examination Form completed in English (the original copy should be kept by the applicant. The form is designed by the Chinese quarantine authority and can be obtained from the dispatching authority. The physical examinations must cover all the items listed in the Foreigner Physical Examination Form. Incomplete records or those without the signature of the attending physician, the official stamp of the hospital or a sealed photograph of the applicants are invalid. Please select the appropriate time to take physical examination as the result is valid for only 6 months.
l) Non-criminal record report. The applicant shall submit a valid certificate of Non-Criminal Record issued by the local public security authority, usually issued within 6 months prior to the submission date of the application.
Reminder: Uploaded supporting documents must be clear, authentic and valid. Applicants are recommended to use professional device to scan the relevant documents. Applicants shall bear the consequences caused by unclear or unidentifiable uploaded materials.
Time Frames
1) From now on to February 23, 2025
Applicants check the Chinese Government Scholarship website (http://www.csc.edu.cn/studyinchina) for information about Chinese universities and scholarship programs, contact their favorite Chinese universities and obtain the Pre-Admission Documents, submit their online application (Indonesian Agency Number is 3602).
2) February 24 to March 3, 2025
The embassy sends all recommended applications to China Scholarship Council for final review.
3) July to August, 2025
Applicants can check the admission results in the system by themselves. The embassy notifies the scholarship winners to download the admission notice and JW201 visa form from the system.
Reminder
Chinese Government Scholarship students are not allowed to obtain other scholarships (excluding one-time awards) established by the Chinese government at all levels and the admitted universities at the same time. Once found, their Chinese Government Scholarship qualifications will be cancelled, and the received scholarships must be returned. Those who deliberately conceal their funding status will be disqualified and will not be allowed to apply for Chinese Government Scholarships within three years

Introduction
In accordance with Diponegoro University (Undip) vision to become a world class university, an international collaboration between Undip and other world class universities have received high attention to rector to conduct a riil collaboration activites and one of activities is summer program.
This program is designed by Animal and Agricultural Sciences Faculty, Undip to create a new opportunity for international students to learn about culture in Indonesia.
The program involves 10 (ten) students to stay in Undip for 11 days and engaging their life with local environment, including culture, behavior, and applied sciences manner. The student will be also challenged for identifying set of activities that will improve their global academic capabilities.
Since this program is available to only invited universities, thus committee invites to 10 participants as following criteria:
- Students should be fast learner and able to communicate in english
- Participant is an active student in the minimum of 2 years student in university for bachelor degree or first year in master study
- Prospective student will be from Thailand (2), Japan (3), Taiwan (4), Malaysia (1).
- Student should prepare for visa and ticket from home countries to Semarang city by theirselves.
- Participants will stay in guest house during course and all meal as well as room are free during course. Student may fulfill their need to find dinner. Local transport will be covered by Undip.
This program is a second summer course by Faculty of Animal and Agricultural Sciences, while the first summer course was conducted in Augusts 2017.

This program is designed for the students who want to develop their knowledge in Indonesia’s culture. Therefore, the objectives of this summer course are:
- Provide the experience a new culture in Central Java including social, communication, and global knowledge in Indonesia. The participants will gain better understanding for people with different culture, and can really make them feel as a “part of the world”.
- Provide the way for personal development since on summer program, participants are confronted with challenges in everyday’s life that they will have never experienced before.

Thank you very much for the registration to Tropical Course 2018 by International Office Undip. The registered participants will be receive the letter of acceptance at July 14, 2018. We would like to request your kindness to wait for this official letter.
Regarding the the arrival time, the committee are able to provide the pick up service to Ahmad Yani Airport in Semarang at July 31 or August 1, 2018. Participants will be asked for the arrival time to arrange the schedule for picking up participants to student’s guest house.
Students may choose the departure time after tropical course is over, both at August 9th or 10th, 2018. Room check our will be applied up to Augusts 1oth, 2018 at 11.00 am. Committee will be also provided the transfer process to airport.

The tropical course will be held from August 01, 2018, therefore all participants should arrive in Semarang at least one day before the course date: July 31, 2018. Participants also may arrive in Semarang before July 31 but please provide information to us about arrival time.
Guest house will be provided to all participants since Juli 31, 2018, so the participants who has a plan to stay before those date are suggested to find their guest house or room by themselves. However please provide us the information about arrival time, so committee may help to find guest house for participants.
